The aim of the journal “Scientific Notes of Taurida National V. I. Vernadsky University. Series: Historical Sciences” is to create a contemporary academic platform for the interpretation of historical processes, the re-examination of the past through new sources and approaches, and the integration of Ukrainian historical scholarship into the global academic discourse.

The journal is focused on advancing critical analysis of historical events, revisiting established narratives, and emphasizing the role of history in understanding current societal transformations. 

The main objectives of the journal are:
• to publish original research in Ukrainian and world history;
• to introduce new historical sources and materials into scholarly circulation;
• to develop and promote modern methodological approaches in historical research;
• to support interdisciplinary studies within the humanities;
• to encourage critical rethinking of historical processes and phenomena;
• to facilitate scholarly dialogue among researchers representing different academic traditions and generations;
• to promote the integration of Ukrainian historical scholarship into the international academic community;
• to disseminate evidence-based historical knowledge.
